Giles & Co.: Dear Daughter...

Dear Daughter,

Wow, first of all I like the sound of that! I can't believe in just a few short weeks I will have a little girl of my own to hold, cherish and love. We are so close to your arrival and though you aren't physically here yet…you are already loved SO much.

Carson, Daddy and I are very excited to meet you. At first Carson wasn't too sure about a baby sis and preferred a dog, but I think he is slowly getting used to the idea. He knows that you are in Mommy's tummy and that your scheduled to arrive any day. All of your aunts, uncles and cousins are excited to meet you as well and those that are far away can't wait to see pictures. ShaSha, Grandpa Dan, Mimi and Gramps are anxious to see you and hold you too…you have the 4 best grandparents on the planet (you are a lucky girl already)!!

I have spent the past few weekends celebrating your arrival with friends and family! We had a baby shower that was given by second cousin Tammy, Auntie Stephanie, Sha Sha and Laura Chapman a few weeks ago. Then last weekend I met up with a few of my sorority sisters (Mel, Jamie, Megs, Lisa and Heidi) for a girls night to honor you and I. It was so nice to be surrounded by so much love at both showers. And based on the amount of clothes you received - you may not need to wear the same thing twice the first couple of months! ShaSha spent a few days painting and getting your room ready for your arrival. The nursery is looking beautiful and we are beyond thankful for all of Sha Sha's help! The color of pink we painted the nursery is called Dogwood White - the perfect shade of light pink.

We still aren't 100% on a name, although we are leaning towards Preslee Ann Giles. Ann is after Aunt Stephanie and "lee" is after me. Our other option is Olivia Marceline Giles (Marceline would be after your great grandma, who is dear to my heart). We are torn and will probably have to meet you before making a final decision…just know that naming you has been very well thought out and regardless of what we choose, I hope you love the name we give you.

I can't believe how close we are to holding you and welcoming you into our little family. We love you so much and I can't wait to see your precious face, hold your hand for the first time and just look at you. Daughter - you will be protected and loved fiercely by Daddy, Carson and I. We will always have your best interest at heart and make sure you are given every opportunity to be anything you want to be.
